Hepatology: The field of liver illness. The liver is the body's biggest organ and hepatology is an enormous field. It incorporates, yet isn't restricted to, the investigation of intense and interminable hepatitis, viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, hereditary and metabolic liver ailments and their complexities, liver malignancy, liver transplantation, medicate digestion (which relies to a great extent on the liver), and immunology in accordance with the liver. Truly, hepatology became out of gastroenterology thus turned into a subfield of it, albeit today it has all the earmarks of being rising as an unattached clinical forte. The hepato-part originates from the Latin hepaticus got from the Greek hepatikos meaning (not very shockingly) the liver. The - logy part originates from the Greek logos meaning the investigation of, or field.
