Conflict of interest arises when major differences exist between the individual’s personal and professional interests. If the editors or moderators observe any such competing interests discussed in WAME, appropriate actions will be taken as per the COPE guidelines.
Author/s must reveal the financial/academic/scholarly/professional interests that might affect/influence the study outcome.
Reviewers are also expected to disclose any conflict interest like affiliation/association/ownership/financial conflicts before they consider any review. Editors must thoroughly consider these conflicts of interests while assigning the review tasks. Editors must consider neutral reviewers that would not in any way affect the review outcome.
