Aceclofenac is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with good analgesic and anti-rheumatic properties.Variousmethods for analysis of the same are available but are time consuming and expensive. Here we have developed a new, precise and simple RP-HPLC method for estimation of aceclofenac frombulk andmicroemulsion formulation using a UVdetector. The selected mobile phase was composed of 50:50 v/v of acetonitrile and 25mM trishydroxylmethyl aminomethane in phosphate buffer pH 7.0. The wavelength selected was 276 nm. This method was validated according to ICH Guidelines. There was no significant difference in the intraday and interday analysis of aceclofenac determined for three different concentrations using this method. Linearity of the method was found to be 0 - 100g/ml with regression coefficient of 0.9994. The detection limit and quantitation limit were 0.07g/ml and 0.211g/ml respectively. The method was found to be simple, accurate, precise, economical and robust.
