Abstract

Synthesis of 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-methyl- 3-[1-aryl-2-prop-en-1-ones-3-yl] / (3 –aryl - 4,5-dihydro-1-H-pyrazol-5-yl)/(3-arylisoxazole-5-yl) - imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine

2-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-methyl-3-[1-aryl- 2-prop-en-1-ones-3-yl)-imidazol [1,2,-a]pyridines. (3a-31) ;2-(4'-chlorophenyl)-6-methyl-(3-aryl-4,5- dihydro-1-Hpyrazol-5-yl)imidazo[1,2a]pyridine(4a-41);2-(4'-chlorophenyl) -6-methyl-3-(3-arylisoxazole-5-yl)-imidazo [1,2-a]pyridine(5a-5l) have been synthesized. The products have been assayed for their biological activity againstGram+ve,Gram–ve bacteria and fungi. Some of the products showed moderate activity in concentration 50g. The structures of the products have been elucidated by IR, 1H NMR,Mass spectral data, elemental analysis and thin layer chromatography.
