Abstract
Synthesis And Electrochemical Character Of Novel Oxadiazole-Based Compounds
Author(s): Baoxian Ye, Guoxin Zhao, Chenxia Du, Yingliang LiuFive novel oxadiazole-based compounds were synthesized by a threestep procedure and their electrochemical properties were investigated in detail. The results show that the compounds (L1-L5) possess one oxidation and two or three reduction peaks between potential of -0.4 and 1.0V. Every compound has a reversible one-electron redox process. The electrochemical mechanism was deduced and the energy levels of the frontier orbits of the five compounds were calculated. The measurement results of the triplet state indicated that compounds L1-L5 were the promising ligands for the complexes of phosphorescent emission.
