Synthesis and biological activities of new series of 1,4-bis [4-amino 5-mercapto 1,2,4-triazol-3-yl] butanes
Author(s): Vijay Kumar Tirlapur, G.Yuvaraj, C.B.Patil, R.H.Udupi1,4-bis[4-amino5-mercapto 1,2,4-triazol-3-yl] butane (1) reactionwith various substituted aromatic aldehydes in presence of dry benzene afforded 1,4-bis[4-(aryl)-methyleneimino 5-mercapto 1,2,4-triazol-3-yl] butane (2a-f). Reaction of (2a-f) with substituted amines in presence of formaldehyde and dry benzene to gave 1,4-bis[1-(substituted amino) methyl-4-(aryl)- methyleneimino-5-mercapto 1,2,4-triazol-3-yl] butane (3a-f) respectively.The structures of all newly synthesized compounds have been characterized by IR, 1HNMR, Mass spectra and elemental analysis.
