Synthesis and antimicrobial screening of pyrimidine derivatives
Author(s): J.M.Parmar, A.R.ParikhPyrimidine derivatives (2) have been synthesized by cyclocondensation of N-aryl acetoacetamide, aldehyd and urea, the later N-aryl acetoacetamides prepared by reaction of ethyl acetoacetatewith different aryl amines.All the synthesized products have been characterized on the basis of spectral data and elemental analysis. The compounds have been screened for their in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities.
