Tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB), PTC catalyst, and potassium carbonate, base catalyst, were utilized to prepare eleven new1-alkyl-4-chloro-6-methylquinolin-2(1H)- ones. Structure of new compounds was established on lights of their analytical and spectral data.
