Abstract
Study on Divalent Transition Metal Complexes with Tellurium Containing 12-Membered Tetraazamacrocyclic Ligands
Author(s): Nitu and K. K. VermaNine new complexes of the type, [ML1 Cl2], [ML2 Cl2] and [ML3 Cl2], where [M = Mn (II), Co (II), Cu (II); L1 , L2 and L3 = 12-membered tellurium containing tetraazamacrocyclic ligands] have been prepared via the template condensation of 1,3-diaminopropane and diaryltellurium dichlorides, R2TeCl2, (R = p-hydroxyphenyl, 3-methyl-4-hydroxyphenyl, p-methoxyphenyl) in the presence of metal chlorides. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements, infrared, electronic absorption and proton magnetic resonance spectra. An octahedral structure has been suggested for all these metal complexes.
