Abstract
Stem Cell Biotechnology and Regenerative Medicine
Author(s): Diana NorrisStem cell therapy, also known as regenerative medicine, uses stem cells or their derivatives to promote the repair response of diseased, dysfunctional, or injured tissue. Regenerative medicine is a branch of medicine that develops methods to regrow, repair, or replace damaged or diseased cells, organs, or tissues, as well as the generation and use of therapeutic stem cells, tissue engineering, and the creation of artificial organs. Stem cell research is important in regenerative medicine, which includes the development and application of stem cell therapies.
