Spectrophotometric Estimation of Darunavir in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Formulations

A simple spectrophotometrric method for the determination of Darunavir was described. The method was based on bromination of the darunavir with excess brominating mixture in acidic medium. The yellow colour developed was measured at 350 nm against distilled water blank. Beer’s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 40-200 μg/mL. The proposed methods were simple, rapid, and validated and can be used successfully for routine analysis of darunavir in a pure and tablet dosage form.
