It is a neonicotinoid group of insecticide and chemically known as 1-(6-chloro-3-pyridylmethyl)-N-nitroimidazolidin-2-ylideneamine. This insecticide was analyzed in sodium acetate buffer of pH 7.2 in methanol water medium in the concentration range from 110-4 to 5.210-4 M. The developed method is applied for the determination of imidacloprid in pesticide formulations and spiked water samples. These obtained results are comparedwithUV–Vis Spectrophotomerty. The developed method is simple, easy and inexpensive, thusmaking of an excellent tool for the routine analysis of pesticides.
