Abstract
Microbiological Characterization of Erwinia Genus on the Surface of Stainless Steel AISI 316L
Author(s): E. Ruiz, J. Duque and W. AperadorIn this article, the behaviour of acid-producing bacterium Erwinia genus is characterized on the surface of stainless steel AISI 316L. Microbiological characterization was carried out by macroscopic and microscopic morphological tests and biochemical tests; also the growth kinetics was established on the steel surface through periodic reviews and Petro Hausser chamber and the electrochemical impedance diagrams characterization and Tafel polarization curves. The results showed the growth of colonies in the surface material slow and stable as to the steel surface increased corrosion current influenced by bacterial growth is observed
