Methodology towards aryl-1, 2-azoles: An overview

These aryl-1, 2-azoles and its analogues have tremendous importance in synthetic and medicinal chemistry. Therefore, a large number of studies on their synthesis have been reported in the literature. The aryl-1, 2-azoles or their simpler analogues have potential as drugs for antiviral, antimicrobial and antitumor activities. This microreview will discuss some of the recent synthetic studies towards the synthesis of aryl-1, 2-azoles and their analogues.
