Dissolved metal ions have been shown in several instances to promote the hydrolysis of organophosphorus pesticides, with various reasons forwarded as to the intimate mechanism of metal ion promoted hydrolysis. In this study, we investigate the degradation of diazinon,malation and chlorpyrifos as model for forecast of fate in the presence of metal ions.
