A new chiral liquid chromatographic method was developed for the enantiomeric separation of Cathine Hydrochloride with UV detector. The enantiomers of cathinewere baseline resolved onChiral packAD-H(250mm X4.6mm, 5um) column using a mobile phase system containing Heptane:Ethanol: Diethylamine (920:80:1 v/v). The presence of Diethylamine in the mobile phase has played an important role in enhancing the chromatographic efficiency and resolution between enantiomers.
