Facile hydrothermal synthesis of single crystalline barium aluminate nanoplatelets

The nanoplateletswere synthesized bya facile hydrothermal treatment ofmixed solution of barium nitrate and aluminum nitrate in the presence or surfactants. Post-growth annealing at high temperatures promotes the crystallization of the materials. The BaAl2O4 nanoplatelets reported by usmay have significant implications in examining shape dependent phosphorescence properties and building functional nanodevices.
