Abstract
Fabrication, morphology and structural characterization of tungsten oxide nanorods
Author(s): T.Maiyalagan, B.ViswanathanThe Template synthesis of Tungsten oxide nanorods by calcination of Phosphotungtstic acid (HPW) on alumina membrane template is described. The nanorodswere characterized by electronmicroscopic analyses, Raman, IR andX-ray diffraction techniques. SEM, TEMandAFMimages reveal the hollow structures and vertically aligned features of the nanotubes and the phase structure of the WO3 was proved by X-ray diffraction. In addition, it is observed that the cycle ability of the nanorods is superior to that of bulk materials, which implies that the morphology has an influence on the electrochemical performances of thematerial.
