EPZ 10 as a reusable heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of coumarins

Coumarins have been synthesized by one-pot two-component Pechmann condensation in the presence of the EPZ 10, as an effective catalyst in excellent yields. The reaction work up is simple and the catalyst can be easily separated from the product and reused in several times.
