Abstract
Electrochemical detection of hypoxanthine using chitosan-multiwall carbon nanotubesmodified electrode
Author(s): Lizhu Yang,Xia Wang, Tiantian Zhang, Jing Zhu, Xiaofeng YangA novel chitosan-carboxylated multiwall carbon nanotube modified glassy carbon electrode (CTS/MWNT/GCE) was developed to investigate the oxidation behavior of hypoxanthine using cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry modes. The electrochemical behavior of hypoxanthine was investigated with great detail. Under the optimized conditions, the oxidation peak current is proportional to the concentration of hypoxanthine over the range from3.0×10-7mol/l to 2.0×10-4mol/lwith a determination limit (S/ N=3) 8.0×10-8mol/l. The proposed method was successfully applied in the detection of hypoxanthine in fish samples.
