Chemoselective Acylation of Amines, Alcohols and Phenols Using Magnesium Chloride Under Solvent Free Condition

GidhMagnesium chloride was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the acylation of a variety of aromatic amines, alcohols and phenols using acetic anhydride under solvent free conditions at room temperature. Deactivated substrates are also acylated rapidly.
